An original marbled range of wallpapers and prints made in the traditional Japanese Art of Suminagashi, meaning 'floating ink'.
Each piece is unique and colours are chosen for individual interiors and seasons. For Autumn 2020 colours are chosen in burnt orange, luxe blues and warm metallics such as bronze & gold.

The process of Suminagashi involves colours being placed on the water surface, which then begin to expand on the water. They are only encouraged to move by air, nothing else disturbs the surface. The colours move in an organic way - when a dynamic pattern has been shaped, Natascha makes a print by placing and moving the paper on the water.

Both wallpaper making & paper marbling have been listed as an endangered craft by the Heritage Crafts Association. Driven to preserve these crafts, Natascha brings them alive on larger pieces, as abstract paintings. Therefore making them contemporary and accessible.
