Brave Ground is a very exciting colour to be working with over the coming months and we have created a series of prints to elevate new and hidden sides of this earthy colour tone.
We create original marbled prints and wallpapers using the traditional Japanese Art of Suminagashi, meaning 'floating ink'
Pastel ground colours and textures of blues, greens, yellow and purple are surrounded by bold neon patterns of orange & pink.
The delicate pastel tissue resembles areal landscapes, marrying well with the Brave Ground walls. The bold neon colours bring an uplifting feeling, completing the room decor perfectly.

The process of Suminagashi involves colours being placed on the water surface, which then begin to expand on the water. They are only encouraged to move by air, nothing else disturbs the surface.
The colours move in an organic way - when a dynamic pattern has been shaped, Natascha makes a print by placing and moving the paper on the water.

Natascha also prints large hand marbled wallpapers, each piece is unique and signed by the Artist. There are no pattern repeats - creating individual panels of 'paintings'.
One of our most popular colour way is the Gustav Klimt inspired wallpaper in blues, turquoise, orange, gold and a Sienna tone matching 'Brave Ground'

Both wallpaper making & paper marbling have been listed as an endangered craft by the Heritage Crafts Association.
Driven to preserve these crafts, Natascha brings them alive on larger pieces, as abstract paintings. Therefore making them contemporary and accessible.
